Sunny Seattle - Tre Donne Moscato, Queijo Sao Jorge & Some Walking

Every once in a while, Seattle has great weather. On those days, it's an amazing place. Start off with a stroll through the market and catch some performers outside the original Starbucks (I love tourists).

I've having a little Tre Donne Moscato, head over to the park and check out the interesting crowd or the gorgeous view of the mountains (need to crop out 99.)

Run over to Spanish Table and get some Queijo Sao Jorge (amazing that this gets out here even if they misspell cheese)

Didn't know about the Gum wall in by pike place market

And somehow got over to Alki and got this view of seatown

Il Terrazzo Carmine - Amazing Seattle Italian

Ok, it's embarrassing that it's taken me this long to fully appreciate Il Terrazzo, but last night I had the opportunity thanks to Yahoo.

We opened with Carpaccio di Manzo and Caprese (Mozzarella di Bufala of course). Have to admit that both were good, but I'll still give Tavalota edge on best Caprese/di Bufala in Seattle and Wolf wins the Carpaccio contest.

For our second course... shots called (ABTS...Cwood rocks!)

Shot of petron with cinnamon covered orange slices

Caesar for the third course... I was skeptical, but this was amazing. I know, it's just a Caesar, but really, it's not just a Caesar.

Fourth course were some really good pastas: Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamberi Tossed with pesto and Gulf prawns, (amazing pesto) Ravioli Di Capriolo filled with venison, spinach and mushroom veal sauce (really unique dish that is worth going back for).

Dessert was a split decision (Moscato was a solid call though) with the chocolate torte and the cheescake with cherries receiving solid praise.

Overall - amazing place for any occasion.

SAM Taste Cafe

Cool spot to grab a bite at the Sculpture Park, but it is overpriced and slow (perfect if you don't care about either).

Squirrels at West Seattle are serious

Is this really normal on a golf course?

This is not, but it does remind me of my putting - Gritten's closed 18 with this:

Norweigan day parade in ballard

Not St. Patty's Day in NYC, but then again, what is?

Robin Williams at Showbox

Worst video ever. Not good in the dark and when you're trying to hide the fact that you're videotaping. However, I do realize audio was really good and I should have recorded some of his stuff. He was pretty good and was definitely testing material.

Down 6 - 0 at home. Won't miss this.

Lawdogg BBQ and baseball was a great call Saturday. For anyone interested in what a good last minute BBQ invitiation looks like, check out below. BTW, Mariners are almost as impressive as PBR visor hair.

Invite sent 22 hours before barbecue started:

I've got a buddy coming to town, Big Butte Brawler Jeff Shipley, and what better way to welcome him back to Seattle than a ridiculously non sober afternoon BBQ starting at 1p followed up with the possibility of watching the worse team in Baseball at a fabulous park. Noooooo, i'm not talking about the Tacoma Raniers, two dollar beers and more mullets than the entire Midwest. Oh No, i'm talking 8 dollar beers, a bleacher seat never sat in and the hope that security will even let drunk folk in to the ball game after a nice festive BBQ. SO, tomorrow starting @ 1p, I'll be at the home front with a new tank of propane, a lot of MEAT (including chicken), cheese, a few of the basic condiments and buns for your consumption. So if you decide to show up, please bring a side dish or chips or beer or mixers or a combination. Hope to see you there.

Skillet Street Food - Great Call!

Ok - Skillet is definitely one of the coolest lunch experiences out there. Below are a couple vids - the line at 11:25 and a Skilleter calling out an order. Pics were of the menu (marker on the side is original) and the kitchen.

Best thing I had was the soup (poutine, herby gravy, white cheddar, herbs), followed by the burger (not coupage, but for $7... awesome), tried the mussels which were ok and the dessert was good (Lemon curd and sweet biscuit). Skillet is Recommended!

Homepage (http://www.skilletstreetfood.com/) and youtube video where they served the food at Bottleneck Lounge during the Derby (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRKqxTgn4sM) are worth checking out.

Spring Release in Walla Walla (post is a work in progress)

Spring Release in Walla Walla is the Opening Day for Wine in Walla Walla. Jack & I headed over to meet Big Jake.

Here was how it looked heading to Eastern Washington. Second photo is rolling up on Yakivegas, also known as Yakima.

We hit 26 Brix (pronounced 26 Brix) that evening and had some of the amazing Brix sliders and a few cocktails to give the liver a jolt.

And then there was wine... (Warning: some of these pictures look weird because I changed some setting on my phone to take bad pictures... genius. I've changed the setting back).

2nd vineyard and balboa was first

Beautiful right? No - this is the kind of pour that gets you into trouble. Mike from Lost helped us to about 3 of these to get our day started.

Golf (second photo is 18)

Late night Melting Pot is wrong

So Melting Pot in lower QA has this insane fondu chocolate platter for $8 late night as a happy hour. Combine that with consistent stiff drinks and it's a must.
